Different lens hood for DSLR camera Canon?
My friend is attending an outdoor event which has animals and vehicles with stunts and jumping.
My mother has a DSLR camera by Canon and I would like to use that to take photos of her as she is competing with the animals.
My mother said that I should buy a lens hood because that day is going to be very sunny. I have found the size fit for the lens and camera. I have a choice of the ET-60 lens hood for the lens or I researched that a "Petal" hood could do good also?
Which is the better hood and for I think the lens is 55-250 so for the Petal do I get 55mm?

Petal hoods are for lenses that do not rotate the front of the lens when focusing. If the front of the lens rotates, you use a "normal" round hood. Your lens rotates the front when focusing, so no petal hood for you.
There is no need to pay Canon's outrageous prices for a simple hood. Any camera store will have a collapsible rubber lens hood, for $10 or less.
